Call for Papers, Journal Section: Honoring Our Elders,Conversations with the Living-Dead

The Kabarak Law Review (KLR) invites scholarly contributions for its dedicated journal section: Honouring Our Elders: Conversations with the Living-Dead for the upcoming 2026 issue.

This section is committed to the decolonial task of preserving intellectual history and acknowledging the African elders—thinkers, activists, and jurists—whose work built the foundations of our current civilization. We seek papers that engage with the legacies of figures including but not to limited to figures  such as Wangari Maathai, Amilcar Cabral, Nawal El Saadawi, Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o and Doudou Thiam. 

Submission Standards & Peer Review:

  • All contributions to this section undergo a single-blind peer review process to ensure the highest standards of academic integrity.

  • Strict adherence to the Kabarak Legal Citation Guide (KALCI) is required.

  •  All manuscripts must be submitted through our formal Online Journal System (OJS) at journals.kabarak.ac.ke.

  •  Contributions may be submitted in English or Swahili.
