Call for Contributions, 2026 Special Blog Symposium: The African Youth Charter @20

2026-02-16

The Editorial Board of the Kabarak Law Review (KLR) is pleased to invite submissions for a special Blog Symposium titled the African Youth Charter @20. As we approach the 20th anniversary of the Charter’s adoption, this symposium seeks to provide a platform for critical reflection on its impact, the legal barriers facing African youth today, and the concept of waithood  in the 21st century.

We welcome reflections on youth political participation, state accountability, and the domestication of the Charter at national levels. The  Blog articles should be between 1,000 and 2,000 words.

Submissions are accepted in English or Swahili.

Authors must adhere to the Kabarak University Legal Citation Guide (KALCI).

Submissions will be considered, processed, and published on a rolling basis to ensure timely scholarly dialogue.

The deadline for Submission is 31 July 2026. Please email your contribution directly to the blog editorial team at klrb@kabarak.ac.ke.

We look forward to your contributions to this vital continental conversation.
